You know salad and crackers and ground beef and Zingers...

Taquitos and turkey and some frozen dinners...

But do you recall the most famous recall of all...?

Peaches, the...WAIT!!!!!

Peaches?!?!? Who ever heard of a recall on peaches?!? Well now we all have. And according to the CNN website why are the peaches being recalled? Would you have guessed of all things Salmonella?

I wouldn't have either, but that is the deal. Almost 70 people in nine different states have gotten sick because of the possibility of Salmonella in peaches. Who would've thought you could get Salmonella from a peach? But it's possible.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is looking into the Wawona brand of bagged peaches that are sold at ALDI in 16 states including, you guessed it...Michigan. They believe this all started at the beginning of June.

ALDI has undertaken a voluntary recall of the Wawona peaches in not only Michigan but in Iowa, Connecticut, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, North Dakota and South Dakota, Minnesota, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Wisconsin and Vermont.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that the peaches are most likely the culprits here that caused the illnesses from Salmonella and there have been reports of sick people in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Iowa, Wisconsin, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan, Virginia.

If you happen to have the bagged Wawona peaches, the FDA is asking you to throw them out. To get more information about the recall on the peaches, check out the CNN website here.
