Forget Georgia... Michigan is where it's at.

According to the Detroit Free Press, we're in for a sweeter-than-usual peach crop this year. Thanks to all the sunshine and heat we've had this incredibly warm summer, Michigan peaches will be on the sweet side this season. And NOW is the time to enjoy them.

While we can usually expect peaches to stick around until mid-September, "most orchards are picking the Red Haven peach variety" as we speak. So that means if you want to have a pick-your-own-peach experience, the window is closing.
