Why Some Americans May Not Diet Again
I have been on diets on and off just about all my life. Up 20, down 20, and it is a vicious cycle. My doctor recently told me that the key to losing weight is 80 percent diet and 20 percent working out. The combo of both is the best way for me. She also said it's not rockets science. Eat high protein foods with plenty of vegetables, and stay away from sugar, fried foods, and basically anything white in color.
I also I learned that diet foods with reduced fat are not good for you. These foods have chemicals and preservatives that are not good for you. My daughter Holly keeps pounding that in my head.
According to Yahoo.comone in two Americans are planning to never go on a diet again, according to new research. The study asked 2,000 nationally representative Americans about their experiences with fad diets in the past and their plans for 2021. Seven in 10 respondents also shared that diets that required strict rules never really work for them.
They basically say what I have been hearing for years, instead of dieting, change your eating habits. I agree. Every diet I have been on that was successful, I ended up gaining the weight back in a year or two.
I am on a healthy eating program now and lost 10 pounds in the last 3 weeks. I am just eating 5 small high protein low carb meals a day. No drugs or stimulants or fad remedies. I feel great. I am losing by changing my eating habits with healthy eating. It's the way to go.
I have also learned there are lot of healthy places to eat out and shop in Lansing and will be writing about that next week.
