Lansing Restaurants That Have Closed in 2024

Nothing lasts forever. Which means, sadly, we have to say goodbye to certain things.

That includes restaurants.

Although 2024 saw a good number of restaurants open in the greater Lansing area (more than 20 of them, and that number is still growing with some time left in the year), we also saw quite a few of them close.

Creole Burger Bar & Southern Kitchen

This restaurant, which was located in Old Town, closed its doors in September.

Area 52 Diner

This diner was located in Owosso and closed in September.

Sparty's Kabob

Formerly located near Fresh Thyme in East Lansing, this restaurant closed in September.

St. Johns Brewing Co

This eatery was located in St. Johns and closed in September. It is now home to The Heist Grille.

Zaytoon Mediterranean Restaurant

The location on Lansing's west side closed abruptly in August.

Osteria Vegana

This restaurant was located inside Lansing Shuffle and closed in August.

Green Dot Stables

This restaurant closed for the second time in July.

Irie Smoke Shack

This eatery, which was located inside Lansing Shuffle, closed in June.

Reno's East

Located in East Lansing, this closed in June. This restaurant is now home to another One North Kitchen + Bar location.

Stillwater Grill

This Okemos restaurant closed its doors in April.

Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

Located in Okemos, this restaurant closed in March.

Airport Tavern

While this restaurant did close in January, it reopened for bar service in April and reopened for food service in September.

Ellison Brewery and Event Space

This space in REO Town closed in January.

GoodFellas Bagel Deli

The East Lansing location closed in January.
