Sadly, as it's happened before, another Lansing restaurant is closing its doors. But just because its happened before, it doesn't mean it hurts any less.
Word spread about this closure via the trusted Lansing Foodies Facebook group, as they always know the rumblings of the Lansing restaurant scene.

The Creole confirmed on their Facebook page that they are indeed closing.
After a decade taking up residency at 1218 Turner Road in Old Town, Lansing, their lease is up. According to the Lansing State Journal, one of the owners said that they "couldn't come to an agreement on a lease renewal with the building's owner."
The last day is going to be Sunday, September 29th. They've invited everyone to come out and enjoy a last drink, dinner, brunch, or combination thereof.

It is always sad to see a restaurant close its doors for the last time, especially one that has been apart of the fabric of Lansing and Old Town for so long. I especially loved the pimento burger and the beignets.
With the closure of The Creole, this marks another closure for businesses that were under the Potent Potables Project. Potent Potables also owned Punk Taco, the Old Town and the East Lansing location.
The Cosmos and Zoobies, a pizza restaurant and bar, are also owned by Potent Potables Project, and those business are still open. They are going to be moving staff to those business and giving those spots more focus.
