The Story Behind Why Two Places Closed in Lansing Shuffle
Lansing Shuffle has been open for just over a year now, taking over the old Lansing City Market.
If you've never been there before, Lansing Shuffle is kind of like a shuffle board social club meets cafeteria meets event space. The inside is home to a huge bar, a multitude of restaurants, and of course it's namesake, shuffle board.
The shuffleboard courts are open in the winter, by the way. They keep the area heated.
Lansing Shuffle's Restaurants
When Lansing Shuffle first opened, there were only a small handful of eateries open. However, over time more opened. Currently there's Yeti Kitchen, Kin Thai, Browndog, Takitos AF, and Beirut Kitchen.
Another restaurant is on the way soon. A sushi restaurant called La La Fish is expected to open sometime in fall 2024.

Two Lansing Restaurants Have Recently Closed
It's always sad to see a restaurant leave the Lansing food scene.
Thankfully, one restaurant has continued on in a different form. Osteria Vegana closed in August and has decided to take this time to focus on the catering side of its business.
However, it is with extreme sadness that we learn that one restaurant closing comes just three months after the death of its owner.
Irie Smoke Shack closed in June. This came three months after the owner, Max Hardy, passed away.
According to the Lansing State Journal, Hardy was a Detroit native who "competed on several Food Network show and owned two other restaurants in Detroit".
