Dave's Hot Chicken

This fast-casual fried chicken sandwich spot opened up in Downtown East Lansing in mid January. Be careful, it's HOT!

Takitos AF

Takitos AF is one of the newest spots inside Lansing Shuffle, the cafeteria-style shuffle board spot at the former Lansing Market. They opened in mid January as well, serving up delicious Mexican fusion food.

Airport Tavern and Steakhouse

A Lansing favorite for over 50 years, the Airport Tavern closed in mid January this year. However, it has since reopened for bar service. They hope to reopen the restaurant portion to patrons soon.

Green Dot Stables

Green Dot Stables took over the old Whiskey Barrel in December of 2017. Then, The Junction took over Green Dot Stables. Since then, The Junction closed on January 24th, and now Green Dot Stables has taken back over that location. Reopening the restaurant and keeping the 'Mane Stage' for live entertainment purposes. Green Dot Stables has full bar service and makes unique sliders and serves them up with fries and other sides.

Whether you are a pregnant person, a sober person, an underage person, or just a person who doesn't feel like drinking alcohol at the moment, there's got to be something out there for us, right? That's when I discovered the beauty of a mocktail. If you don't drink alcohol, for whatever reason, there are some fantastic restaurants and bars in Lansing that serve up more than pop and lemonade. Have you ever heard of a "social district"? It's an area that allows you to enjoy booze while out in the great outdoors. And by great outdoors, I mean some city blocks downtown. Lansing has officially decided to make the once temporary social districts a permanent fixture. Now, you can enjoy your favorite beer, wine, or cocktails in certain public areas in Lansing.
