The Lansing food scene has experienced a multitude of ups and downs so far this year. We've seen over 25 restaurant openings and a dozen closings.

However, there is still a lot of potential for growth this year.

Here's a look at the restaurants that are expected to open sometime this year.

Rosati's Authentic Pizza

New restaurant, Rosati's Authentic Pizza Since 1964, coming to Lansing and former Slice By Saddleback location - Slice by Saddleback

A Chicago-based chain that hopes to open in December at 644 Migaldi Lane in Delta Township.

Panda Express

Panda Express is taking over the former Wheat Jewelers site in Okemos. No official word on an opening date.

Get Loaded

Get Loaded and From Scratch Food Trucks are coming together for a brick-and-mortar restaurant that hopes to open sometime this summer. When they do open, they'll be in the former Tantay location in Okemos.

Unicorn Bar

The Unicorn Bar in Old Town has gone through a bit of a makeover and hopes to be open sometime this summer.

BIBIBOP Asian Grill

BIBIBOP opening in Downtown East Lansing, Michigan

This Ohio-based fast-casual chain is opening its first Michigan location in East Lansing between Curious Book Shop and The Tin Can. BIBIBOP Asian Grill offers build-your-own bowls with Korean and other Asian-inspired ingredients. No word on an opening date yet, as construction is still happening on the building.

Chick-fil-A

This popular chicken chain is opening its third Lansing location (and fourth overall for Greater Lansing) along Lake Lansing Road near Eastwood Towne Center. According to Google, this location plans on opening in September.

The Morning Post and D'Nulffos

The Morning Post and D'Nulffos is a combination breakfast restaurant in the morning and seafood and steak restaurant in the evening. They plan on opening on Michigan Avenue at the former Clara's Station and Bobcat Bonnie's.

Assembly

The owner of Saddleback BBQ and other ventures, Matt hopes to open Assembly in Mason sometime this summer.

El Camino Garage Bar

This bar and restaurant is coming soon to East Lansing's Hannah Plaza. You can expect this full-service bar and fast-casual Mexican restaurant to open sometime this summer.

Pizzawala's

Pizzawala's is a Michigan-based pizza chain that draws culinary inspiration from Indian cuisine. They plan on opening a location in East Lansing next to The Peanut Barrel.

Saroki's Crispy Chicken & Pizza

No word on exactly when or where, just that it's coming soon to Lansing.
