Mister Car Wash Opens in Okemos as Panda Express Rises

If you haven't driven along a certain stretch of Marsh Road in Okemos lately, you might not even recognize it. Thanks to two businesses, things look a lot different than they used to.

Okemos Continues to Add New Businesses

Okemos has seen a lot of business growth over the last six months, as places like Okemos Coffee Shop, Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine, and The Flaky Croissant have all opened their doors recently.

Now, we have another business that's opened, with another one well on the way.

Any Michigander worth their weight in road salt knows a regular wash can help keep rust at bay. Not to mention, if you're a parent, there's no telling how old the stale French fries are under the seats—it's probably time for a vacuum.

Mister Car Wash is located at 4880 Marsh Road in Okemos, at the former Outback Steakhouse site near Meridian Mall.

Construction Progress Continues on Panda Express

Still under construction in Okemos is the area's newest Panda Express.

The former Wheat Jewelers site will be home to the new fast-casual eatery. And not to worry, Wheat Jewelers is open at its new location at 3493 Woods Drive in Okemos.

On May 20, the former jewelers had been completely demolished to make way for Panda Express. What was a bare lot in mid-May now has a foundation and the beginnings of a new building.

When Will Panda Express Open?

There's no word on exactly when the new Panda Express will open its doors, but we'll keep our ears to the ground for the news.
