Big Changes Along Marsh Road in Okemos

The Greater Lansing Area—Okemos included—is seeing some unprecedented growth when it comes to new businesses. Okemos Coffee Shop, Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine, The Flaky Croissant and more have all opened their doors in recent months.

It looks like we're going to see two new businesses join that list soon: Mister Car Wash and Panda Express.

Great progress is being made on the Mister Car Wash coming to Okemos. In addition to the "coming soon" sign, a large portion of the building has been erected and the parking lot is nearly done.

When Could These Businesses Open

There's no exact opening date, but it should be open in the coming months. When it does open, it can be found at 4880 Marsh Road, formerly Outback Steakhouse.

Progress for the soon-to-be Panda Express is looking a little different than Mister Car Wash. Panda Express is moving into the former building of Wheat Jewelers. Don't worry—Wheat Jewelers is still open, just at a different location: 3493 Woods Edge Drive, off Jolly Road near Okemos Road.

So far, the former Wheat Jewelers has officially been torn down to make way for the new Panda Express building. However, no further progress has been made just yet. At this time, it's unclear when work will be finished and when Panda Express will be open.
