
Town-by-Town Mid-Michigan Snowfall Predictions for February 14-16

Another winter storm is poised to drop as much as a foot of snow in some parts of Mid-Michigan this weekend.

Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches have been issued for almost all of Michigan.
How Much Snow Does AccuWeather Think Mid-Michigan Is Going to Get?
Forecasters with AccuWeather think another round of snow will begin in and around Lansing Friday night and continue off-and-on through Sunday evening.

AccuWeather believes total accumulations from this new system could range from 4-8" in Lansing proper. Higher amounts in the 8-12" range are possible away from the capital in places like DeWitt and Holt. However, southern areas of Mid-Michigan such as Jackson and Marshall could see accumulations struggling to reach 6".
How Much Snow Does the National Weather Service Think We'll Get?
The National Weather Service expects snow to develop overnight Friday into Saturday morning, with most of us waking up to at least a fresh covering of snow.

The NWS thinks that slow snow will continue around Mid-Michigan throughout the day on Saturday and into Saturday night and Sunday, with total accumulations from this newest system ranging from 5-10" in most areas.
How Much Snow Does WILX News 10 Think We'll Get?
WILX News 10 Meteorologist Colton Cichoracki says 1-3" on Saturday will be the norm across the area, with a likelihood of heavier snow on Sunday.
"This (Sunday) system will bring up more moisture so we have the potential for a more significant snowfall. Low pressure passes to our southeast so the heaviest snow will be as you go southeast in our state."
