
Snowfall Predictions: Which Mid-Michigan Towns Could See 10″ by Tuesday?
Some forecasters believe that parts of Mid-Michigan could see as much as 10" of snow by Tuesday. Others think that while the entire area is likely to see accumulating snow, it won't be quite that much.

Nearly all of Lower Michigan is under either a Winter Weather Advisory or Winter Storm Warning from late Sunday evening through Tuesday morning. The counties under the Winter Storm Warnings are generally those closest to Lake Michigan. Less snow is expected further inland into Mid-Michigan and The Thumb, hence the Winter Weather Advisories instead.
How Much Snow AccuWeather Thinks Mid-Michigan Is Going to Get
AccuWeather is projecting at least 1-2" for all of Mid-Michigan, but sees the potential for as much as 6-10" in places like Ionia, Nashville, and Vermontville.
How Much Snow the National Weather Service Thinks Michigan Is Going to Get
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service agree that while those towns are likely to see snowfall totals that are slightly higher than the rest of Mid-Michigan, everyone should be under 6", and most places will be in the 1-3" range.
