Did You Know These NFL Commentators Are From Michigan?
Michigan's got its share of big names in pro football, including a few in the broadcast booth. Here are four NFL commentators you might not have realized are from Michigan.
Joe Davis
Joe Davis is a commentator for Fox Sports. Not only does he cover NFL games for the network (paired this year with Daryl "Moose" Johnston); you'll also see/hear him on select college football broadcasts as well as some Major League Baseball coverage.
Davis was born in Lansing, Michigan, and raised in nearby Potterville. Davis himself was a 2-time all-state quarterback when he played for Potterville High School.
Tony Dungy
These days, Tony Dungy serves as an on-site analyst for segments on NBC Sports’ Football Night in America pre-game show. He's best known for his head coaching stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Indianapolis Colts - the latter of which resulted in Dungy becoming the first African-American head coach to win a Super Bowl in 2007.
He was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan.

Scott Hanson is originally from Rochester, Michigan (suburban Detroit), and has hosted NFL RedZone every season since 2009.
