If you've traveled Michigan Avenue in Lansing lately, you know that potholes have become a major problem...(like A LOT of roads in Mid-Michigan). Well, here's some good news--Michigan Avenue is getting repaved! According to the Lansing State Journal, the repaving will begin Monday (10/17) and last until the end of the month. The repaving will go from Sparrow hospital to Charles Street, just west of where Michigan crosses under U.S. 127.

Officials do warn that there will be some detours because of the repaving project. Suggested detours to avoid the work zone include Kalamazoo Street to the south and Saginaw Street/Oakland Avenue to the north. Also, keep in mind that left turn lanes and on-street parking will be prohibited until the repaving work is finished.
