There's a reason why "fix the damn roads" is on every Michigander's lips. If you ask anyone which roads need to be repaired, they'd probably tell you just about every single one. And that's a long list.

Now, Lansing residents are getting the chance to do just that: say which roads needs to be fixed.

As it turns out, the City of Lansing recently received an extra $5.8 million to fix the roads in town from Public Act 51, which dictates "how the State of Michigan collects and spends money on roads and transportation."

How to Submit Your Road Repair Request

If you have a road that you want to submit for repair, a Roadway Construction Input Form is available on the City of Lansing's website. All you have to do is answer six questions, and your suggestion will be submitted for possible repair.

Now, this isn't a guarantee that your road will be repaired, only that it might be repaired. All the roads repairs suggestions will be looked at by the city engineer. And before you go through the work of submitting your street, there's a map to see if your road is maintained by the city or the state.

You'll have until at least January to make roadway repair submissions.

According to the Michigan State Police the deer population in Michigan is close to 2 million. Although crashes are possible during any time of the year, in the fall deer are most active during the months of October-December.
