East Lansing’s Trader Joe’s is Finally Opening This Week!

It's finally here, the thing that Lansing has been waiting for with bated breath for months years; Trader Joe's is finally opening!

If you're one of the thousands of people part of the "Trader Joe's in East Lansing" Facebook Group (formerly the "Bring Trader Joe's to Lansing" Facebook group), then you have probably been keeping a close eye out for this announcement. However, if you've been waiting to hear the news, the wait is over.

Trader Joe's is Opening in East Lansing Before the End of June

Trader Joe's is officially opening the East Lansing location this week! Mark your calendar for Friday, June 28th at 9 am. Trader Joe's made things official with an announcement on their website.

Now, per this announcement, "Captain Michael and Crew for the Grand Opening Celebration!" I really hope they are preparing well because there are approximately 17,000 people part of the "Trader Joe's in East Lansing" Facebook group, and I'm sure a good portion of them are going to be there bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Friday morning.

The exact address is 2755 E Grand River Ave, East Lansing.

What are the Best Products at Trader Joe's?

Trader Joe's has a cult-like following and for many a good reason;

• all their items are already at their lowest cost/best value, so you never have to wonder if you're getting a good deal
• they source goods as close to their stores as they can, particularly for their freshly prepared items
• each product has to pass a certain standard before it can hit the shelf
• Trader Joe's are made without artificial flavors, artificial preservatives, GMOs, and artificial trans-fats
• they "donate 100% of products that go unsold but remain fit to be enjoyed by communities seeking food assistance"

All those factors give Trader Joe's a huge following. Not to mention, the food is just darn yummy.

My favorite product from Trader Joe's (so far) are the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. It was perhaps one of the best pieces of candy that I've ever had. The dark chocolate peanut butter cups seem to be a pretty popular suggestion on the Trader Joe's East Lansing Facebook group, but it's certainly not the only one. If you plan on heading to Trader Joe's this weekend, be on the lookout for orange chicken, potstickers, croissants, and basically all of the frozen foods.
