Have you heard of KPOT?
KPOT is the brand new all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ restaurant that just opened on Lansing's west side.
Rumblings of its opening began on the Lansing Foodies Facebook group back in March of 2023. Now, in May of 2024, those rumblings are a delicious reality.

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot just recently opened up in the former Buddy's Pizza. And if you've never been to KPOT or a Korean BBQ joint, here's a look at what you can expect.
Both hot pot and Korean BBQ are interactive dining experiences, in which you cook your food at the table. With hot pot, fresh meats, veggies, noodles, and more are brought to your table for you to cook in a simmering pot of soup. That's for the individual.
For a more communal dining experience, that's where Korean BBQ comes in. On a table top grill that your table shares, you'll grill up a meal of marinated meats, fresh veggies, fruit, and serve it along side rice and pickled veggies.
I had the opportunity to try KPOT recently, and overall it was a great experience that I would come back to try again. The service was friendly, all the food was fresh, and I really enjoyed the communal style dining with our friends. However, I will tell you that as someone who gets overstimulated by noise, it's pretty constantly loud in there. The ceilings are high, the music was a bit loud, and just with the nature of people cooking at their tables, things stayed pretty loud.
Also keep in mind that if you come with a group of people, you all have to be on the same page as far as what you're having for dinner. For instance, if everyone in your group wants Korean BBQ, but there's one person that wants hot pot, you all have to get both. The idea being that both items are all-you-can-eat and you prepare them at your own table, so it's to make sure people aren't sharing. So, you're either all getting Korean BBQ, you're all getting hot pot, or you're all getting both.
Don't forget that KPOT isn't the only place you can get Korean BBQ in the greater Lansing area. Here are some other spots:
