Last week, DeWitt Junior High hosted ten exchange students from Koka City, Japan. From the story I read in the DeWitt-Bath Review, everybody had a great time and learned something about the other kids' culture.

And that got me thinking, "Is there local country music in Japan?

Apparently, country music is kind of a big deal in Japan. They even have a big country music festival every year in Kumamoto, Japan called "Country Gold". This year it will start on October 19th. Last year they had Aaron Tippin and Daryle Singletary perform there. No word on who's coming this year.

And then I found this video. I don't know who these guys are or where they come from. And, you have to sit through about a minute and a half of Japanese stage banter, but then they start singing "Tear In My Beer". In English. With southern accents and everything. And they're GOOD.

I did not expect this:

All the way to Nashville for some good boots.
