YaYa’s Returns to Lansing — Here’s What We Know

Just when I thought I had put together an extensive list of the restaurants that were headed to Lansing this year, I found out that I missed one.

We have an old time favorite coming back... YaYa's is returning to Lansing!

YaYa's is Coming Back to Lansing After Over 2 Years

This is glorious news to diehards in the area that were so sad when YaYa's very suddenly closed its doors in June 2023. One week YaYa's was serving up its signature flame broiled chicken. Over the weekend of June 9, a sign appeared on the door reading, "Closed. It has been my honor to serve the people of Lansing and all my loyal customers. I will always be thankful. Sincerely Ken & YaYa's Crew."

Now, it looks like some version of YaYa's is returning to Lansing, and just down the road from where it was located last time.

I say 'some version' because the sign outside doesn't say YaYa's Flame Broiled Chicken. Instead, it reads YaYa's Kitchen. BUT, it is with the same font at the original, so I think it's safe to say that they're somehow related.

This new YaYa's will be located at 724 Clippert Street, right between Medawar Jewelers Frandor and The Kung Fu Dim Sum restaurant.

At this time, there's no word on when we can expect YaYa's to open, as the only indication that it's coming to town is the sign outside. Hopefully, we'll hear when it expects to open soon. Until then, there are several YaYa's scattered throughout Mid-Michigan to grab food at while we wait for the Lansing location to open.
