A Lansing Favorite Restaurant Suddenly Closed Its Doors Over the Weekend
Just last Friday (June 9th), we learned that the East Lansing cafe, PappaRoti, had closed. It seems that another Lansing area restaurant abruptly closed its doors over the weekend too.
Lansing Restaurants That Have Closed
If you're a member of the Lansing Foodies Facebook group, or perhaps you tried to dine there this weekend, you'll know that YaYa's Flame Broiled Chicken on Saginaw in Lansing has closed its doors for the last time.
We hope that the whole YaYa's Crew are doing okay and that they have something new on the horizon. It's always sad when a business has to close instead of flourishing in Lansing. This one is especially hard because it seems to have happened so suddenly.
There is no post on YaYa's Facebook page. The website still has the location listed. However, there was this hand-written sign taped to the door:
And Google has the Saginaw Hwy location listed as permanently closed as well.
Lansing is pretty upset at the loss of YaYa's. As of Monday, June 12th, the original Lansing Foodies Facebook post about the closure has over 300 comments and over 700 shares, most of which are mourning the loss. Particularly the chicken Caesar salad and the jalapeno ranch dressing.

If you didn't have the chance to have one last YaYa's meal before the Lansing location closed, there are some other locations you can make the drive to. There's one in Flint, Grand Blanc, Midland, and Saginaw.
