Has This East Lansing Cafe Closed its Doors?

It's always sad to see a business close, and I think that's what happened with this cute little coffee shop and bakery in East Lansing.

I was stopping by Fresh Thyme in the plaza at the corner of Trowbridge and Harrison Roads in East Lansing and I saw that PappaRoti looked like it was closed. That was weird because it seemed like the perfect time of day for a coffee pick-me-up and a sweet treat, so I figured they would be busy. They were not.

When I walked over to see if they were open, all the lights were off and there was a sign in the front of the restaurant that stated that the space was available for lease.

It seems like PappaRoti might be closed for good. And it was quiet, too. I haven't heard anything about its closing. Even now (Friday, June 9th), their Facebook page is up saying that they are still open, so perhaps this is a recent development.

Restaurants That Opened or Reopened in the Lansing Area in 2022

I'm sorry to see PappaRoti go. It was a cute little place with decadent little treats and delicious coffee. It's especially sad because this business was fairly new, as it only opened back in November 2021.

While the PappaRoti location in East Lansing may not be open, there are two other locations, with one in Farmington Hills and one in Rochester Hills. If you're really craving a coffee bun, you can take a little road trip.
