Everything has its season, and in Michigan, tis the season for lavender!

U-Pick Fruits and Flowers in Michigan

Now typically, lavender season in Michigan runs from mid-June to late July, sometimes early August. However, it seems this year that the season is going to run a little bit earlier, as we're already seeing lavender start to bloom across the state. (Keep this in mind, as it seems like Michigan is seeing all kinds of crops come up a bit early this year... for example, U-Pick strawberries are well underway, and before you know it, the blueberry season will be here!).

As we head into peak lavender season, there are plenty of farms out there that not only feature this phenomenal-smelling flower, but they allow you to come in and pick it yourself. Heck, some farms even throw whole festivals to celebrate it!
