Encouraged by "beauty bloggers", (here's an example of a renegade beauty blogger) some people have been using colored pencils to do their make-up - and the Crayola company is not happy. According to Time.com, Crayola was forced to release a statement saying, in part, “Although our products are nontoxic, we do not recommend using them to make lipstick, eyeliner or other make-up and strongly discourage their use in this manner."

I really don't know what the problem is if the pencils are non-toxic. I get it - I see my wife buying stuff like eye-liner all the time and make-up's expensive. But, I'm guessing there's some fear of getting sued if someone puts an eye out with a "non-approved" colored pencil.

In any case, stop using Crayola colored pencils to do your make-up. Stop it right now.
