WalletHub recently revealed its annual list of the "Best & Worst Small Cities to Start a Business" - small cities being those with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 people.

The WalletHub study looked at several different metrics when determining the nation's best and worst small cities for starting a business, including each city's access to resources, the quality of its business environment, as well as its average business costs.

The number of startups per capita in a city is a good sign of a healthy business environment, as is its growth rate in small businesses.
