If you get a real Christmas tree in Michigan, there's something you'll want to look out for. It looks like a pinecone, but it definitely isn't.

Just be sure to check you tree before decorating, when it will be a whole lot easier to spot. If you do find one, not to fret! You can keep the tree, just cut the branch it's on and place it in the yard somewhere safe for the praying mantis to hatch.
