More Construction Coming To South Lansing And Holt

For those that don't know Aurelius Road is shut down over I-96 while MDOT makes repairs to the bridge. That project is supposed to last until mid-June. Since the road shut down in early March, motorists traveling in the detour area on Cedar Street have most likely experienced some traffic back-ups.Well, to add to that, there are now signs on Cedar Street informing motorists that lane closures will start on Monday, March 14th, on Cedar Street near the underpass for I-96.

This project has also been included on the MDOT list of bridge repairs for Spring-Fall 2016. According to the website, there is no completion date listed for the Cedar Street lane closures. We could probably assume (and we know what that does) that this new project will also last for several months...stay tuned...and please drive safely and with patience!
