New research reveals that 8 of the 50 most dangerous cities in the United States are right here in Michigan, with two cities claiming spots in the Top 10.

The report, issued by NeighborhoodScout.com, bases its research on the number of violent crimes per 1000 residents. Only cities with populations greater than 25,000 were included in the report.
