According to the Lansing State Journal, a major new project could soon be getting underway along Michigan Avenue near Clippert Street. The project is called the Red Cedar Renaissance and it will feature two boutique hotels, a medical office building, five restaurants, 129 town homes and student housing that can accommodate 1,200 people.

According to the article, the construction on the project is scheduled to start on June 1st. However, officials are also saying that no definitive agreement has been worked out with the two boutique hotels. In addition, more approvals for the project are needed from the city council, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

The project comes with very big price tag--$380 million dollars. You can click here to learn more about the Red Cedar Renaissance project. Stay tuned...
