Fidler’s on the Grand Owner Shares What’s Next for Beloved Lansing Diner
We asked what was happening with Fidler's on the Grand in Lansing, and it seems we have our answer.
For some backstory, Fidler's on the Grand reopened in January of this year after being closed since December 2022. Loyal patrons were elated at the return.
What's Happening With Fidler's on the Grand?
However, despite only being open for a few months, Fidler's on the Grand seemingly closed again. In early June, patrons noticed that Fidler's hadn't been open in a couple of weeks, in addition to not being active on social media since mid-May.
After lots of Lansing residents becoming curious about what's happening with their favorite breakfast place, the owner of Fidler's on the Grand has shared an update on the restaurant's future.
Why Fidler's on the Grand Closed Again
According to Lansing State Journal, owner Mark Taylor said Fidler's closed in late May due to "family difficulties". While Taylor didn't elaborate any further on the closure of Fidler's, he did say that the closure isn't meant to be permanent.

Taylor said it's likely the restaurant could reopen, but it would be under a new business model, and at this time, he's still working on what that will look like.
What's Next for the Popular Lansing Breakfast Spot
We hope for the best with whatever difficulties the Taylor family might be facing. It's clear that those sentiments are shared by the rest of Lansing residents and loyal patrons alike, as the outpouring of love and support since the reopening had been immense. Hopefully we'll see Fidler's open its doors once again.
