Old Town Lansing Just Got Sweeter with the Opening of That Candy Store
It looks like we have another new business to welcome to Old Town. If you haven't been to Old Town Lansing recently, you may not have realized that there have been a few changes this year when it comes to businesses.
Sadly, we've seen places like The Old Town General Store and Blue Owl Coffee close their doors. We've also seen places like Old Town Card Spot and Cinnamon Lane Bakery open their doors.
Another New Business Arrives in Old Town Lansing
Now, another new business has opened in Old Town: That Candy Store!

Can we have a moment for the fun name? Because I absolutely love it!
That Candy Store opened its doors on June 27 and has been slinging sweets since then. You can stop in for all kinds of classic candies, like Big League Chew, Bottle Caps, Whoppers, KitKat, Butterfinger, and more. Plus there are fun, novelty candies like sour candy slime and wax mustaches.
Where to Find That Candy Shop in Lansing
If you want to stop in for a sweet treat, That Candy Store is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can find it located at 1232 Turner Street in Old Town.
Most recently that space was occupied by Lansing Emporium—part consignment store, part curiosity shop—which opened in November 2025. Before that, the space had been occupied by Sweet Custom Jewelry, which moved to its new location around the corner on East César E. Chávez Avenue in July 2025.
