Keith Urban And Fans Donate Stuffed Monkeys To Sparrow

You may not have known this but for over a decade, Keith Urban along with his fans have been collecting stuffed monkeys that they would in turn donate to hospitals on Valentine's Day.

Thursday was Sparrow Hospital's turn to get some of those stuffed monkeys that will help to brighten the lives of a couple hundred children.

Here's what happened according to the press release issued from Sparrow:

Sparrow will become the first hospital in Michigan to receive stuffed monkeys from superstar singer, and CMA Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban’s annual Monkey Drive. More than 200 stuffed monkeys will be dropped off at the Sparrow Children’s Center by a local Keith Urban fan who’s been collecting them. Last year, the national drive garnered more than 4,000 monkeys in six countries and 44 states. It’s the 13^th year that Urban and his fans have distributed the monkeys – about 50 were donated nationally the first year.
