Hidden Creek Farms Bounces Back With Summer Concert Series
Less than three weeks after much of the venue was destroyed by an EF-1 tornado, public events have resumed at Hidden Creek Farms in Charlotte, Michigan.
Admittedly, the place looks a little different, but its spirit shines as bright as ever.
Tornado's Impact on Hidden Creek Farms
"It's hard to imagine feeling 'blessed' after all we've been through, but we do. We feel extremely blessed," says Haley Auvenshine, who runs Hidden Creek Farms alongside her husband Adam. Even the family's home was rendered unlivable. She says the community has come together in the aftermath of the May 15 tornado in the most amazing ways.

Prior to the tornado, Hidden Creek Farms had a wide variety of events on the books, including weddings, concerts and a number of private functions. The tornado damage forced the Auvenshines to pivot. Some events were postponed; some weddings had to shift to other available venues.

Despite the setbacks, the Auvenshines are determined to emerge from the rubble stronger than ever.
Sunset & Chill Returns for Summer 2025
This week, the planned "Sunset & Chill" outdoor concert series began at Hidden Creek Farms as scheduled. The series will feature free concerts with musical acts from throughout the region every Tuesday night all summer, weather permitting.
Cooper Johnson of Eaton Rapids was the first performer of the season for "Sunset & Chill" on June 3. More than 200 guests brought their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a few hours of live music, against the serene backdrop of the sun setting over a calm pond.
Who's Playing This Summer?
2025 Lansing's Got Talent winner Blake James is slated for two "Sunset & Chill" appearances later this season at Hidden Creek Farms. Madison Olivia, Justin Judge and Isaac Harper are among the other regional performers who are scheduled to appear. [A full list can be found here.]
On June 18, Hidden Creek Farms plans to host "WITL Night Out", a free concert featuring national up-and-comers Greylan James and Chase McDaniel, along with a full band show with Michigan's own Keegan Jacko.
