By now, I'm sure you know all about the sad-turned-happy story of Eastwood the Dog. If not, here's a quick recap...

This past Saturday was 'Empty the Shelters' day throughout Michigan, where the Bissell Pet Foundation covers the cost of pet adoptions in hopes of finding furever homes for all the animals. Eastwood was the only dog left at the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society after the event, likely because Eastwood is a special needs dog; he's partially blind and has a genetic defect that affects his back legs. But, this sad story has a happy ending because Eastwood got adopted! And, now we know who adopted him...

The Bissell Pet Foundation reports that the Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy adopted Eastwood! Now Eastwood is officially a Piston. And I have a feeling he'll never be short in the love department. Read the full statement here.
