Pets, especially dogs and cats, can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health. Caring for an animal can help children grow up more secure and active. (helpguide)

People have started to take them to work and offices have slowly become cool with that. A lot of places have an official work animal on the premises. Business cat or office dog is now a normal sighting at most places of work.
