Do you remember the 'The Codfather' we talked about a couple of weeks ago? Well, he's better than ever.

The lines at Lee Burmeister's Hard Knock Food Truck haven't slowed down, they've picked up. In fact, the food truck is getting so much traction, people are coming from all over Michigan and even out of state.

Burmeister and his wife Abbie recently told MLive that customers will wait hours for their fried fish and even had a line wrapped around the building after their first interview with them.

It’s awesome. It’s fantastic.... We’re so busy that we can’t even answer the phone because there are so many people.

Burmeister plans on serving cod and walleye on Fridays now through the end of April because of the high demand.

Their walleye has a dry breaded crust made with just a little bit of Cajun seasoning and the beer-battered cod is tossed in a Drake's mix with Pabst Blue Ribbon. Dinners come with French fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce.

If you plan on checking out the Hard Knocks Food Truck, it's parked off of East Saginaw Highway (M-43) at Sanctuary Spirits in Grand Ledge. They are cash only, so don't forget to stop by the bank before hand.

They're open on Fridays starting at 3:00 p.m. Their busiest time is the four o'clock hour and slows down around 6:30 p.m.

In a couple of months, when summer starts, Burmeister plans on expanding the food truck and travelling to other cities. For more info, you can visit MLive or Hard Knock Food Trucks Facebook Page.
