12 Michigan Concerts Not to Miss This July
Summer's heating up across Michigan, and so is the state's concert season.
July could arguably be the best month all year to catch an outdoor show in the Mitten State. Here are 12 July concerts you won't want to miss.
12. Hank Williams, Jr.
Gather up your rowdy friends and get ready for a great night of good ol' honky-tonkin' fun.

Hank Williams, Jr., plays two Michigan concerts in July — first at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston on July 17, then the next night at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids.
11. Mary J. Blige
Maybe the dancery is more your style? Mary J. Blige still has it going on.

She plays Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant on July 23.
10. Alanis Morissette
Soaring Eagle hosts a lot of great shows this July.

Alanis Morissette brings her distinct brand of angst to Mt. Pleasant on July 16.
9. Jelly Roll
Fresh off a June stop in Grand Rapids, Jelly Roll returns to Michigan in July.

He plays Soaring Eagle on July 3.
8. Luke Bryan
Country superstar Luke Bryan plays back-to-back nights at Pine Knob this month.

He'll be there both July 11 and July 12.
7. John Mellencamp
You've got a couple chances to catch John Mellencamp in Michigan this July.

He'll be at Acrisure Amphitheater on July 10, then Pine Knob on July 16.

6. Lynyrd Skynyrd & Foreigner
Two legendary bands. One unforgettable night.

Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner share the stage at Pine Knob on July 31.
5. Zac Brown Band
If you've never caught Zac Brown Band in concert, make sure to add them to your list. It's in my personal Top 5 favorites.

You can experience Zac Brown at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on July 17.
4. Dave Matthews Band
Experience is a great word for Dave Matthews Band as well. You might even get a contact high — fair warning.

They play back-to-back nights at Acrisure Amphitheater on July 7 and July 8.
3. Motley Crue
Hands down the best rock show in Michigan this July.

Motley Crue hits Pine Knob on July 20.
2. Chris Brown & Usher
You know you're popular if you book three straight nights at Ford Field in Detroit.

Chris Brown and Usher will be there July 2, July 3, and July 5.
1. Morgan Wallen
No one has ever played back-to-back nights at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, but country superstar Morgan Wallen's going to give it a go this month.

He plays the Big House on July 24 and July 25.
