5 Things To Know For The Detroit Tigers Opening Day 2016 At Comerica Park
Last year I got the chance to go to Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers. Here's a couple of photos that I took at last year's home opener:
Are you headed to Detroit on Friday for Opening Day? Here are 5 things you should know:
- 1
It's Gonna Be COLD!
The National Weather Service says the high on Friday is only 41 degrees with a 40% chance of snow showers. Be sure to bundle up and take some hand warmers, toe warmers and any other warmers you can find...

Don't Miss The First Pitch!
Kirk Gibson will be throwing out this year's first pitch! Gibson played for the Tigers from 1979-1987, then again from 1993-1995. He is now doing some broadcasts for Fox Sports Detroit.

There's Gonna Be LOTS Of People!
The seating capacity for Comerica Park is 41,782. However, keep in mind that MANY more people than that will be in downtown Detroit on Friday. Yes, believe it or not, some people just come to party...and not go to the game.

Tickets!
Good luck with tickets. At last check at tigers.com, there actually were some tickets left. Most of the tickets that were still available were up pretty high. If you can't find what you want there, be prepared to shell out a lot of money on other ticketing sites.

Parking!
Parking at Comerica Park can sometimes be a little tricky. My first piece of advice is to GET THERE EARLY! Click here for the map of parking at Comerica Park for 2016.
