What Was That Over Michigan Tuesday Night?

If you were outside Tuesday night, right before 10PM - you may have seen a huge fireball in the sky over Michigan. You and a bunch of other people.

In fact, there were reports of four separate fireballs seen that night at four different times. All over the U.S. and Canada. Has anybody else read "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells? I'm not saying it's aliens, but....it's aliens.
