The Capital Area Humane Society will be holding The Walk For The Animals on Saturday, October 5th. It's a Halloween themed event that will be taking place at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge.

According to the press release from The Capital Area Humane Society:

The event will feature the following fun activities: a one-mile walk through the park, police dog demos, a doggy obstacle course, vendors, doggy costume contest, trick or treating, pumpkin painting, Classic K9 trick dogs and dancing dogs, donuts and cider, and a doggy ice cream eating contest.

Register online at www.AdoptLansing.org and personalize a fundraising page to have friends and family sponsor you. Registration is $25 per person (waived for children 12 and younger) and includes entry to the event, lunch, and an event t-shirt. There are different prizes available based on the amount of funding raised.

The Capital Area Humane Society calls on the community to help raise funds and awareness for the homeless animals in need in Mid-Michigan. Their goal is to raise $85,000 (or more!) this year, and they need your help.
