It was a mere two weeks ago that we presented - right here on this blog - the first reviews of "The Duck Commander Musical" which had just opened in Vegas. Produced by the same people who had brought us "Jersey Boys", and directed by a Tony Award winning director, there was nowhere to go for the show with a "camouflage chorus line" but up, and on to Broadway.

Alas - it wasn't to be. According to Playbill.com, "The Duck Commander Musical has ended it's run in Las Vegas. Two months early. It's last performance at the Rio Hotel and Casino will be May 17th.

HOWEVER - there's a glimmer of hope for the singing and dancing Robertsons. Reps for the musical issued the following statement, "Much has been learned from this limited engagement, and from the great support from everyone who has come to see this first staging of this completely new musical. Duck Commander will now consider several possible opportunities for the next stage in the life of the show, including extended sit-down engagements in interested cities, as well as a national tour."

A national tour? Are you reading this Wharton Center? Here's the whole story.

Check back here often for more redneck musicals news. Thank you.
