“Duck Dynasty” Musical Opens in Vegas

"Duck Commander Musical" has finally opened at the Rio in Las Vegas. This is a real song and dance musical (starring real singers and dancers - not the Robertson's) based on Willie and Korie Robertson's book "The Duck Commander Family". According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, there's too much talking and too little story. And while it doesn't make fun of the Robertson's, it does take a swipe at reality TV shows. But, the important thing to remember is - it's a production that came from the same talented minds that produced "Jersey Boys" - and it's early - things could change, parts of the show can be "tweeked" and even more bizarre musicals have ended up on Broadway.

So, let's just wait and see how this goes.
