The Battle For The Mitten Is Coming To Lansing

Get ready, the first annual "Battle for The Mitten" is coming to Cooley Law School Stadium this Friday.

Of course the big Michigan State University - University of Michigan football rivalry weekend is also coming as the Wolverines take on MSU at Spartan Stadium, and to help kick off this weekend, the Michigan State/Michigan Rugby Clubs will be mixing it up at Cooley Law School Stadium.

I have to admit that I know nothing about rugby, other than it seems like it's a lot like football but the players don't have helmets and pads. So whether you're like me or you actually do know about the sport of rugby, it sounds like a good time on Friday under the lights downtown with lots of fun, food and drink to be enjoyed. Gates open at 5 p.m., kickoff is at 7 p.m.
