The richest billionaires in Michigan are the Meijer brothers, Hank and Doug of Meijer supermarkets. So, if you're reading this in the Meijer parking lot or while you're in line to check out - Hank and Doug say, "thanks" for buying that frozen pizza, or whatever's in that bag.. According to Patch.com, they have a net worth of $6.7 billion, which is No. 70 on the Forbes list of richest Americans. Next on the list, in Michigan, are Michael and Marian Illitch, of Little Caesar's Pizza fame, at $5.8 billion. That's a lot of $5 pizzas.

And most of the top 8 in Michigan are really families, until you get down to Dan Gilbert of Quicken Loans - who founded his company with money he made delivering pizzas. So, obviously, pizza is the key to wealth in Michigan.

But as rich as these people are, they can't hold a candle to Bill Gates and his $81 billion. Bill has now been the richest person in America for 23 straight year. But, he did eat a lot of pizza while he was at Harvard, inventing Microsoft.
