Superstar Country Concerts Still to Come in Michigan in 2023
After a few off-years due to COVID, the country concert season is back in a big way in Michigan for 2023!
Here's a look at some of the biggest shows set to grace stages in the Mitten State this year.
Tim McGraw's been delivering hits for 30 years. He's set to play Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston on May 20, along with openers Chris Janson and Kassi Ashton.
Among solo male country artists, Chris Stapleton has won more awards in the past decade than any other. He hits Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on June 2, with openers Marcus King and War & Treaty.
On the other side of the state the same night (June 2) as Chris Stapleton plays Grand Rapids, Dierks Bentley will take the stage at Clarkston's Pine Knob Music Theatre. Up-and-comers Jordan Davis and Molly Tuttle will open the show.
Brooks & Dunn
After a several years long hiatus, Kix & Ronnie are back together and entertaining country audiences all over the nation once again. On June 15, Brooks & Dunn play Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, with openers Scotty McCreery and Megan Moroney.
When this guy plays a show, he leaves it all on stage. Audiences are often treated to 3+ hours of Eric Church himself - not counting opening acts. Eric plays Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston on June 23, along with Ashley McBryde and Red Clay Straws.
Morgan Wallen was supposed to play Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, but re-scheduled that show to June 27 after being put on vocal rest by his doctors. That's the same week he plays Ford Field on back-to-back nights in Detroit (June 29 and June 30). Bailey Zimmerman and Ernest will open in Grand Rapids, and will be joined in Detroit by HARDY as well.
Luke Bryan's the first night headliner at this year's Faster Horses Music Festival at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. He'll be there July 14.
Zac Brown Band
Zac Brown Band headlines the second night of Faster Horses this year (on July 15).
Shania Twain almost single-handedly changed the course of country music in the mid-1990s. She takes the stage for the final night of Faster Horses on July 16.
Thomas Rhett delivers one of the most energetic shows in country music. He plays Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on July 29, along with openers Cole Swindell and Nate Smith.
After several years leading pop's Hootie & The Blowfish, lead singer Darius Rucker began climbing the country charts regularly about 15 years ago. He'll play Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights on August 10, with special guest Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors.
Carrie Underwood plays Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant on August 24, with special guest Colbie Caillat.
Jason Aldean is set to return to Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston on September 8, with special guests Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent, and DJ Silver.
