I get that Seinfeld is a beloved sitcom from the '90s.

I understand that part of its charm is the fact that it's just a group of friends living their everyday lives and razzing on each other, all in good fun.

And I also understand that this show is so beloved that even though it ended over 23 years ago, fans are still obsessed.

But please, for the love of the dear Lord himself, STOP trying to convince me to watch Seinfeld. I can't take it anymore.

Netflix Pays a Pretty Penny for Seinfeld

According to Time, Netflix paid just over $500 million to add Seinfeld to its lineup of shows. It was available for streaming starting October 1st. So naturally, many of my friends and family have taken to rewatching it. And in the process, they end up asking me if I'm watching it again too.

Again? No. For the first time? Also no.

And it's at this point that I receive the usual slew of comments, questions, and concerns:

Have you ever tried watching it?

Are you sure you don't like it?

Why don't you like Seinfeld? It's a classic.

Well, you should really watch *insert specific episode here*

And the list goes on...

And before you go asking me all those questions, yes, I have tried watching it and I still don't care for it. Yes, I'm sure I don't like it. I dislike Seinfeld for the same reason anyone else might not like something I happen to like...because it's not my taste. And no thank you, I don't care to watch any recommended episode you have to offer.

Unpopular Opinion

At the end of the day, I know that Seinfeld is a popular and beloved sitcom. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's just not my cup of tea. And I'll thank you to quit asking me to watch it.
