One of my favorite childhood memories with my brothers and sisters was getting up and watching cartoons on Saturday morning. I remember Mom warning us not to get up before 8 AM. But all the good cartoons were on starting at 6 AM. We did get away with 7:30 though. All those great ones like Looney Tunes, The Flintstones, Underdog and Bullwinkle. It was a great way to start the weekend.

Well check this out from metv.com.

MeTV proudly presents the weekend debut of Saturday Morning Cartoons on January 2, 2021. Starting every Saturday at 7AM | 6C, this three-hour "all cartoons, all the time" block is reminiscent of the Saturday morning broadcasts from your childhood.

Yes I will be checking this out. What a great way to reminisce about our childhoods and growing up. What's great about this is every hour will have a collection of cartoons featuring Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, Popeye and Friends, and Tom & Jerry. These tunes were not only on Saturday morning for me in Chicago, but before school every day on a show called "Ray Raynor and Friends."  I loved this show.

I am also a huge fan of the classic shows like The Dick Van Dyke Show, Bewitched, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, and Gilligan's Island. It was always crazy how Gilligan screwed up all the chances of the castaways getting off that island.  They did do a movie about it years later where they actually got off the island.

What were some of your favorite cartoons and shows growing up?
