Joe Davis, who grew up in the Potterville/Charlotte area, is having a huge week. In late 2015 it was announced that Joe would be the lead play by play announcer for the L.A. Dodgers after Vin Scully retired. Joe took care of the away games last year while Vin did all the home games and, at the end of the season, Vin retired. On Monday, Joe started his new job. But not until Vin narrated a beautiful video about Opening Day and then passed the baton to Joe. How did the crowd react? Joe was actually afraid they might boo him. They didn't. They cheered. So, life's pretty good if you're Joe Davis.
