“Plaidurday” – A Celebration of Plaid That Was Born in Lansing – Is TODAY!
Happy Plaidurday! True, I didn't know there was such a thing until today, but I'm happy to report that Plaidurday IS a thing. And, it was born in Lansing, Michigan.
According to Plaidurday.com, it was invented, in 2011, by a red-haired Yooper who was taking heat from his co-workers here in Lansing (where was this?) about his propensity for wearing plaid too often. So, throw on some plaid and celebrate today.
Here's a happy history of plaid and flannel. And wearing plaid flannel shirts.
Daisy Duke did it best.
