Congratulations to Michigan's own Sleeping Bear Point, part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore - and just named by National Geographic as one of the 21 best beaches in the world. National Geographic writer Kimberley Lovato said, "Pure, fresh water and 450-foot bluffs mean eyes-open swimming and vast views over Lake Michigan". It's also among three beaches rated best in the world for "dune walkers".

That's all about right. It's snowing right now as I'm writing this, but we're only 4 or 5 months away from watching the sun set from the dunes. See ya there.
