No Pool No Problem: Ingham County Beaches/Hawk Island Splash Pad
How Hot Will It Be This Weekend?
I'd love to tell you it's gonna be hot as blazes this weekend for the unofficial start of summer. But I'd be lying.
Then again it's Michigan weather so we'll all have to wait and see.
The forecast says sunny and maybe on Monday we might tip the scales near 70 or maybe a tad bit warmer.
It's a holiday weekend. And if you're not hitting the highway, you should be hitting the beach or pool.
Or any excuse the get the kids out of your house.
Might we suggest the beach or the splash pad at Hawk Island?
Everybody In The Pool Or If Sandcastles Are Your Thing
The beaches at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, and Lake Lansing Park South are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weather permitting (hours are 12:00pm - 8:00pm). Please note there is a vehicle entrance fee to enter Ingham County Parks. (Ingham County Parks)
The Splash Pad is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day 9:00am to 8:00pm weather permitting and is free of charge.
The Splash Pad at Hawk Island is a zero depth water park with fifteen features to spray, splash, and dump a blast of refreshing cool water! The Splash Pad is located adjacent to the beach house, offers lounge chairs and chaise lounges for adults to relax while the kids enjoy themselves. (Ingham County Parks)
You don't have to spend big bucks or travel far for family fun in the water. Make waves and make a splash right here in your own back yard...so to speak.
